Resumo

Background: The malalignment of the lower limbs could offer discomfort during physical activity, in children and adolescents of both sexes, it was observed that small degrees of valgus interfere negatively in weekly physical activity. Objective: To compare PAL among children and adolescents according to degrees of valgus. Methods: Sample comprised 270 boys’ students, 30 boys in each age group, aged 10-18 years (14.0± 2.0) and living in the city of Ilhabela, Brazil. The genu valgus was evaluated using a goniometer, measuring the intermalleolar distance (cm). Physical activity behavior in different intensities (minutes per week) were assessed by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Statistical analysis has used descriptive and post hoc Bonferroni- hoc-Bonferroni, and it was taken a significance level of p< 0.05.
