* The website for the 2014 AIESEP Specialist Seminar that will be organized in Timisoara (ROM) on November 7-9, 2014 is now operational. The theme of this specialist seminar is ‘The Pedagogical Side of Outdoor and Leisure Activities’. All information is available on http://www.sport.uvt.ro/aiesep/index.html. West University of Timisoara celebrates its’ 70th anniversary in 2014. You are welcome in Timisoara a cosmopolitan city, was called, the flowers' town or parks' town and is known for its hospitality. Seminar participants and those accompanying them will be warmly welcomed by the West University of Timisoara, the City and the Timis County and will have the opportunity to discover the richness of this historical and cultural city situated at the south east of Europe. * The School of Sports Science at the European University of Madrid is very excited to be hosting the 2015 AIESEP International Conference with the theme Moving up Physical Education and Sports Participation on the Public Health Agenda--It Is Not Too Late to Act! Provisional Keynote Speakers: Professor Steven N. Blair (University of South Carolina, USA) and Rafael Martín-Acero (University of A Coruña, ESP). Conference Sub-themes: (a) Integrating physical education, sports and active leisure on the public health agenda. Providing evidence and promoting best practices, (b) Formal and non-formal education, strategies and policy development in physical education and sport and sport promotion, (c) Best practices for education, training and development of physical education graduates, teachers, sport coaches, and active leisure animators, (d) Emerging practices for motor skills development and performance in school and higher education settings, and (e) Social responsibility, sustainability and values development through physical education, sport, and active leisure. * The UNESCO Chair "Transforming the Lives of People with Disabilities, their Families and Communities, Through Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness" in IT Tralee, Ireland is looking for a Chairholder. The post will be offered on a part time adjunct basis with the salary equating to 1.5 days per week or 17 weeks per year with an annual gross salary of €30,000 excluding travel expenses. The amount of time the Chairholder will spend in Tralee will be agreed with the Institute. Travel budgets will be agreed with the Head of Development on an annual basis in line with the Institute’s travel and subsistence policy. It does not require the person be based in Ireland. * The 10th biennial International Seminar for Physical Education Teachers will be held at the Sport Institute of Finland in Vierumäki. Conference dates are 3 to 8 August 2014, overlapping with the 2014 FIEP World Congress, which will take place at the same location from 5 to 8 August. Joint sessions are scheduled. The International Seminar for P.E. teachers aims to bring together teachers and other physical education professionals from all over the world to exchange ideas and best practices in physical education. * We would like to inform you about an international scientific symposium ICSSPE are hosting an international scientific symposium in Berlin, GER from 25 to 27 September 2014. The title of the symposium is “Move and Improve?” – Physical Activity and Academic Performance. The event brings together experts from science, education, business and politics to share findings and develop an agenda for initiating research activities and implementation schemes aimed at enhancing the value of physical activity in educational and academic contexts.
