Cevnautas, parece um bom modelo de curso. E oportunidade de trabalho para quem puder encarar o desafio de ser professor lá. (Não consigo conter a observação singela: com o Prof Makumbe a coisa poderia dar certo no Brasil!) Laércio

Assunto: Start of International Sports, Management & Business in Amsterdam (ISMB)
Dear colleagues,

With pleasure we announce the start of "International Sports, Management & Business" Bachelor programme by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. For anyone who is interested in the programme please go to: www.hva.nl/ismb.

Vacancies within the programme are mentioned below:

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences is an international University with over 40.000 students enrolled and 800 members of staff. The School of Sports and Nutrition houses three different Bachelor degrees; Physical Education, Nutrition and Dietetics and a degree in Sports, Management & Business.

The Sports, Management & Business program is a very successful Dutch curriculum, which has over 700 students and 35 members of staff. The Sports, Management & Business program holds great appeal for both students and the sport community. We stand for talent development, innovative educational concepts and we maintain strong links with the sport community of Amsterdam and the Netherlands.
In august 2011 we start a new international Bachelor program, called “International Sports,  Management & Business”. This “International Sports, Management & Business” (ISMB) Bachelor program is based on five managerial values, namely sustainability, community, diversity, integrity and excellence.

Within the program students will focus on (sports) management as a foundation, followed by one of three specializations, which will focus on either elite sports, commercial sports or mass participation sports.

For the detailed development of the 1st year curriculum, the management of “International Sports, Management & Business” is looking for lecturers. The lecturers will be part of the Lecturers Team, who will develop the exact content of each of the subjects mentioned below. Developing the subjects commences on April 15th and takes until August 15th 2011, since the academic year starts on August 29th 2011.

Vacancy: Lecturer(s) (total 1 fte available, see text below)

We are looking for lecturers in the following subjects:

We will start the “International Sports, Management & Business” program with only one class (approximately 40 students), which allows us to plan and organize a total of 1fte for the lecturing of all subjects mentioned above. So, please note that teaching one subject/sport code will be a very small sized job. Opportunities for expanding one’s job will be possible in future, as we will be growing the program each year with one group of students.

Candidates who are able to teach a combination of subjects and/or sport codes have an advantage, but specialists in one subject or sport code are also welcome to apply, since we always aim for excellence. Please state clearly in your letter for which subject(s)/sport code(s) you are applying.

The Lecturers Team members should be available for developing the curriculum from April 15th until August 15th 2011 and actual lecturing will commence on August 29th 2011 when the academic year starts. Between April and August 2011 the Lecturers Team will either meet on a regular basis (possibly once every week) or the team could meet for a longer period of time (three days in a row per month). This has not been finalized yet, due to the fact that we do not know whether the lecturers live in the Netherlands or abroad.

Candidates are requested to send in their motivational letter and CV to Mrs. Claudia Makumbe – c.makumbe@hva.nl.

Deadline for applications is: 18th March 2011.

Interviews will take place on March 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st 2011 (live or via skype).

The Amsterdam University of Applied Science offers a salary according to Dutch Tertiary Education policy and includes pension fees, holiday allowances and end of the year bonus. Dutch Tertiary Education is organized in salary scales and lecturers at ISMB will be placed in scale 11 (maximum 4348 euro gross / month) based on their education and experience.
