Resumo

Microgreens are edible young part of plants with great potential which are gaining popularity because of good amount of nutritionpresent in it. Microgreens also called “Vegetable confetti”. They are good source of many nutrients such as vitamin c, antioxidant properties, iron, potassium as well as zinc. Microgreens are easy to grow and have many properties which are helpful to fight with many harmful diseases. These are also known as ‘Functional food’ and ‘Super food’. But their storage is the major issue encountered till date. The objective of this study was to investigate the shelf life and nutrient quality of pearl millet microgreens grown under natural light (sunlight).
