Methods

Observation, Statistics and Comparison

Results

The statistical outcome shows that compared with the 8th National Games, there has been a great progress in the synchronized swimming solo, duet and team in the 9th National Games. The improvement in choreography of free selection program is obvious. The manner of presentation of technical routines is relatively improved. The ability of treading water is enhanced. The twisting and spinning circles are added. With endurance strengthened, the swimmers can hold their breath longer in the whole program. However, there still exist some problems, such as poor control ability, too fast movement in announced figures, weak driving and swimming strength, poor strength in single figure and lack of uniformity in team motion, low degree of technical difficulty and short of diversity and variety of exercise.

Discussion/Conclusions

After the 8th National Games, there witnessed a great progress in Chinese synchronized swimming. Many data have come up to the world level. However, there still exist many problems and weak points, needed to take further measures to overcome in future training and only by this specific training can great achievements be made.
