Child And Youth Friendly Communities - Recreation

Child and Youth Friendly Communities is a concept that is gaining momentum throughout the world as a way of working toward improving conditions for children in the urban setting. Recent work out of Canada suggests efforts be focussed on 17 domains within the urban setting including recreation. Using slides and handouts, this session will show how one city and province in Canada is working to lay the groundwork for ensuring communities are friendly for children and youth within the domain of recreation.
