Introduction

This study related to culture and sports. Qigong is the native and traditional sports in China and Yoga does in India. Traditionally, people regard Qigong as the representative of sports and culture of China ,and Yoga in India. Previous study conclude that the two sports are analogous to each other in nature while they have some difference and all reflect eastern culture. This essay intends to compare and contrast Qigong and Yoga in as many as aspects. The nature of Qigong and the relationship between sports and culture will be deeply and completely discussed.

Methods

The study compare Qigong with Yoga in aspects below: place of origin, understanding of human body, range of dissemination, relation to religion, difference of practice method, application of breadth, application of subconscious, request for moral. Methods and knowledge of linguistics is used in the procession of analysis.
Results
Though Qigong and Yoga is similar in how to realize the structure of human body and philosophy connotation, The relatively stable operation system of Yoga based on massive content is advantageous for dissemination and a wealth of motion which stress subconscious accompanied with no system of Qigong cause the difficulty of spray.

Discussion

(1) Though Qigong and Yoga origin from east, the two sports is different from each other in nature. Yoga is union product of eastern and western culture and does not only represent eastern culture. (2) How to define eastern sports? The study put forwards that eastern sports do not exist in the aspect of cultural significance but only in the aspect of region.(3) Sports is perfect bond of body and spirit, as well as the miniature of culture and society. Researching on sports is serviceable to conduct social science research.
