Resumo

Programas de exercícios multicomponentes podem melhorar força, mobilidade, qualidade de vida e reduzir o medo de cair. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os efeitos de um programa de exercícios multicomponentes, realizado duas vezes por semana durante oito semanas, sobre parâmetros antropométricos, medo de cair, força muscular e qualidade de vida de mulheres idosas. Estudo quase-experimental, pré e pós-intervenção, envolvendo 18 idosas entre 63 e 86 anos, participantes de uma oficina de Ginástica. Foram coletados dados sociodemográficos e antropométricos, força muscular de membros superiores e inferiores, além da qualidade de vida. Os dados foram analisados no SPSS 25.0, com utilização do teste t pareado para variáveis paramétricas e teste de Wilcoxon para não paramétricas, com significância de 5% (p < 0,05). Após oito semanas, observaram-se reduções significativas nas circunferências da cintura (86,61 ± 14,10 cm vs. 83,22 ± 13,51 cm; p = 0,001) e da panturrilha (35,50 ± 3,71 cm vs. 34,69 ± 3,31 cm; p = 0,001). Houve melhora significativa nos testes de sentar e levantar (11,89 ± 3,16 vs. 14,72 ± 4,04 repetições; p = 0,003) e flexão de cotovelo (15,06 ± 4,45 vs. 17,78 ± 3,46 repetições; p = 0,014). O medo de cair apresentou redução significativa (2,56 ± 1,42 vs. 1,72 ± 1,27; p = 0,014). Embora a preensão palmar tenha aumentado, a diferença não foi significativa (p = 0,203). Conclui-se que o programa promoveu melhorias na força muscular, parâmetros antropométricos, medo de cair e qualidade de vida, evidenciando a efetividade de exercícios multicomponentes em mulheres idosas.
