Estudos culturais físicos e abordagens metodológicas: descrições a partir da obra routledge handbook of physical cultural studies

O presente artigo teve objetivo geral investigar as principais abordagens teórico-metodológicas relacionadas ao estudo do corpo presentes nos Estudos Culturais Físicos (ECF) a fim de (re)conhecer como tais metodologias podem contribuir para pensar a educação física brasileira. Atentou-se ao estudo do campo intitulado Physical Cultural Studies; à identificação dos aportes teórico-metodológicos que o integram; à problematização de como tais aportes contribuem para a construção de pesquisas que tenham o corpo como objetivo investigativo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, de natureza qualitativa, a partir da análise da oitava seção da obra Routledge Handbook of Physical Cultural Studies, que se dedica à discussão de abordagens teórico-metodológicas no interior dos ECF. Concluímos, com base na descrição dos estudos, que tais abordagens acenam para possibilidade metodológica de (re)pensar o corpo como elemento do processo investigativo a partir de inúmeras metodologias que o insiram nessa agenda, a exemplo de pesquisas etnográficas, autoetnográficas, narrativas, análises discursivas, mídia digital, entre outros.
