Health is admittedly one of the most important and acknowledged human values. United Nations pointed out in their declaration “Sport for Development and Peace” (2003) the importance of sport-activities for health towards achieving the “Millennium Development Goals” at first place. 55th World Health Assembly in 2002 passed a resolution on “Diet, Physical activity and Health” which urges member states to celebrate a “Move for health” day each year to promote physical activity as an essential for health and well being. In regard to this background there is the challenge of developing special programs and concrete projects for within the professional health system as well as in organised sports, mainly in . ISCA´s philosophy is also based on respect and support for human values. And following this general aim the ISCA (2003) consequently pointed out, that health and fitness related activities should have priority in the future. Life in our modern societies is more and more determined by technical instruments. Most of today’s industrial production processes are taken by labour-saving machines; people go by car to the mail-box at next corner or take a lift to reach their flat at the second floor. Our everyday life is more and more characterised by a lack of movement. But the human being is created in a way that it needs a certain level of load and movement to preserve physical power and functions. A lack of movement is therefore the most important risk factor for health. But on the other hand physical exercises and sport can be used as an excellent remedy to save, to restore and to improve well-being, fitness and health.
