Memória através do Exercício Físico (MEF) Fundamentos e propostas para o contexto escolar e familiar

Resumo
Os avanços na neurociência demonstram o impacto do exercício físico regular na anatomia e fisiologia do sistema nervoso. Estudos mostram o crescimento do hipocampo e a melhoria do desempenho da memória através da prática regular de exercício físico. O objetivo deste trabalho informativo é promover a reflexão e o conhecimento sobre um hábito -a atividade física- que pode impulsionar o bem-estar cognitivo geral e a memória, em particular, nas crianças. Procura destacar um tema de grande interesse para as intervenções terapêuticas e educativas, bem como fomentar a reflexão e o debate sobre o tema. Este trabalho oferece orientações sobre como melhorar a memória através do exercício físico e inclui recomendações práticas para a sua implementação tanto na sala de aula como em casa. As contribuições oferecidas são uma ferramenta valiosa para os professores e para as famílias nos seus esforços para promover o bem-estar das crianças.
