Resumo

Esta revisão sistemática teve como objetivo analisar o impacto do Yoga na flexibilidade, equilíbrio, força, velocidade e agilidade de futebolistas profissionais. Efectuou-se pesquisa nas bases, B-On (Academic Search Complete; SportDiscus; APA PsycInfo), International Journal of Yoga, International Journal Yogic, Human Movement and Sport Science, GoogleScholar, PuBMed, Journal of Strenght and Conditioning Research, Researchgate, de Janeiro de 2011 a Dezembro de 2022, selecionando 15 artigos com elegibilidade. Destes, 3 Yoga e flexibilidade, 1 capacidade de equilíbrio, agilidade e competência de reação, 1 força abdominal, 1 diferença entre exercícios de resistência e Yoga, 2 flexibilidade e força, 1 flexibilidade e equilíbrio, 1 força, 1 flexibilidade, equilíbrio e força. Melhoria do equilíbrio e agilidade dos futebolistas 1 artigo, 1 Flexibilidade e Agilidade, 1 na velocidade e agilidade e 1 no melhor desempenho dos atletas que praticaram Yoga. Os estudos que incluíram Yoga no treino dos atletas verificaram melhorias na flexibilidade, equilíbrio, força, velocidade e agilidade. Esta revisão pode ser um ponto de partida para ajudar a demonstrar o potencial do Yoga como parte do treino dos jogadores profissionais de futebol, na melhoria das suas acções técnicas e como referência na melhoria das variáveis do estudo.
