Introduction
The basic aim of this study is to determine some personality characteristic factors of rhythmic gymnasts (RG) of the
different competitive levels, such are senior, junior and young junior categories.

Methods
The global sample of participants (69 rhythmic gymnasts) consisted of 24 Young Junior, 22 Junior and 23 Senior RG
took part at the state level of competition. For the estimation of some personality characteristics an Eysenck’s Moudsley
Personality Inventory (EMPI) was applied which covered two segments: the first for the evaluation of neuroticismstability
(EPIN) and the second for the evaluation of extrovert-introvert behavior (EPIE). Performance profiling,
developed by R. J. Butler, 1989 (at Taylor J., Taylor C., 1995) assists to identify and understand of rhythmic gymnasts’
strengths and areas in need of further development (change). It is a visual illustration of above mentioned personality
characteristics of individual rhythmic gymnasts or different competitive level groups.

Results
The results were analyzed on the basis of descriptive and comparative statistics methods (t-test, parallel, and multiple
analysis of variance). Special statistic procedures were carried out for the establishing of homogeneity and position of
the groups.

Discussion / Conclusions
Parallel, and multivariate analysis of variance confirmed that the differences between examined groups are statistically
significant (F =5.613, p=.000), but only in a part for the estimation of neuroticism. The best homogeneity of results is in
the senior (73.90%), then in the junior (68.18%) and the smallest one is in the young junior category of rhythmic
gymnasts (62.00%). The position between senior and junior rhythmic gymnasts is closer (.65) then between senior and
young junior RG (1.22).
