Results and Discussion
The results showed that there mostly were four effects on the cohesion of basketball team, firstly role of team member and their competition. Appropriate interior competition helps to improve comprehension and accommodation of team member each other. But overwrought competition will injure relationship and activity of team leaguers. At the same time since not everyone does well know own part for team’s success so role of team member can also affect the cohesion of team. Secondly achievement and ascription sensation of team member, when team won, will increase cohesion of team, but when team lost complaining and reflecting each other will destroy cohesion. Thirdly different race time has different team cohesion. Proper emotion tension could buildup cohesion of team. Fourthly informal colony will affect the cohesion for formal basketball sport since the team composed by different sensibility tropism of members.
Increasing cohesion for basketball team is aim conformity that group’s aim should meet the need and desirability for members. Let all of them take part in activity related to team’s goal. When individual and group achieve a challengeable aim the achievement and ascription sensation of team member will be developed and cohesion of team will be increased. Secondly mental apprehend, each team member with others or coach mixed in good or not is foundation of colony mentality. The concealed inconsistency for team members should be solved in time, and the merit or demerit for members should be evaluated by objectivity and justness. Collective value tropism should be constituted. Thirdly part mutualism: since each member has different role in his team, and the position and capability mutualism for team member is very important for this disorderly sport.
