Introduction
"Contrary Teaching Method" is a kind of physical education teaching method by which a complete movement is divided into several parts, according to the sequence, structure and features of technical actions, so that they could be taught from the final part back to the first one. Experiment proved that a better teaching effect can be reached by using "Contrary Teaching Method" reasonably. The experimental and theoretical (psychological) study about "Contrary Teaching Method" has been made in the paper. The purpose of the study is to probe into the reason and feasibility of "Contrary Teaching Method" The significance of the study is that the teaching effect can be improved by using "Contrary Teaching Method" consciously and reasonably.
Methods
The methods used in this article were experiment, statistics and psychological analysis. Students were divided into the experimental group to be taught with "Contrary Teaching Method" and the contrast group to be taught from first part to final par. The data from the experiment were analyzed by statistics. The reason of improving teaching effect by "contrary teaching method" was analyzed from the angle of psychology.
Results
The contents of the experiment were the back-style high jump and the back slide shot throw. The technical evaluate after experiment showed that the experimental group was better than the contrast group.
Discussion / Conclusions
Latter part of a movement can influence the forming of former part unconsciously when students try to master the former part after the latter part has been mastered, especially when combining latter part with former one. In this time, the forming of the former part can obtain double effect of consciousness and unconsciousness. This is the reason that teaching effect can be improved by using "contrary teaching method".
