Do you like taking sport photos? Here’s your chance to win great prizes, get international exposure as well as have your photo included in Canada’s National Sport Library. SIRC is holding a “Capture the Moment” photo contest! We are trying to collect photos that capture all the various moments of people in sport.

Let sport inspire you; enter your best shots in any of our four categories.

Suggested Themes:
  • Sport/Physical Activity (action)
    • action shots of sports and physical activity
  • Coaching/Officiating
    • coaches, referees, umpires, team meetings, coach/athlete interaction
  • Injury Prevention/Treatment
    • injuries, sport medicine, physiotherapy
  • General
    • fans, non-action photos, stadiums, sidelines, sport equipment
How to Enter:
  • Only online entries will be accepted
  • Photos must be 2MB and in JPEG or GIF format
  • Entrants may enter as often as they wish
Important Dates:
  • Competition opens July 20, 2009 at 8:30am (EST)
  • All entries must be received by September 18, 2009 at 4:30 pm (EST)
  • September 28, 2009 through October 9, 2009 online voting will take place
  • Winners will be announced on October 14, 2009
Prizes:

1st Prize: Weekend for two including luxury accomodations in the heart of downtown Ottawa at The Lord Elgin and breakfast for two at Elgin Café. (value $530)

2nd Prize: One weekend night stay at Les Suites Hotel, Ottawa and a $100 gift certificate to The Grand Pizzeria in Ottawa (value $300)

3rd Prize: Canon PowerShot A530 Digital Camera (value $200)
