Cevnautas,

INFORMATION ABOUT THE UPCOMING ISSUE OF THE International Journal of Sport Management. . .
Welcome to this, the first issue of the twelfth volume of the International Journal of Sport Management. In this issue there are eight articles written by a total of twenty scholars. The topics of the articles are wide-ranging and include research relating to Student’s Satisfaction with Internship Experiences; Sport Management Research; Professional Tennis Tournaments; Coaching Satisfaction; Volunteer Members in Non-Profit Sport Organizations; Volunteers at a PGA Tour Event; Motivation and Constraints for Golfers; and, Athletic Trainers in the Professional Baseball Setting.
The IJSM continues to serve the profession by providing an outlet for scholars in all aspects of sport and recreation management to share the results of their original research and scholarly efforts. These articles provide a significant contribution to the professional literature which is one of the most important efforts that any individual can accomplish in one’s professional career. For their efforts these scholars deserve a great deal of credit.
Similarly, the reviewers [currently 48 in number] who consistently and faithfully evaluate the initial (and frequent subsequent submissions) deserve a great deal of credit. As experts in their respective fields, it is through their efforts that original submissions of manuscripts, which are eventually accepted for publication, are critiqued and eventually improved in terms of overall quality and impact upon the profession. These reviewers deserve a great deal of credit for their outstanding scholarly efforts that go a long way to make the articles that appear in each issue worthy of becoming part of the professional literature.INC
Manuscripts that are initially received are typically reviewed within 60 days in the initial review process. Each review process takes 60 days or less. Those manuscripts that have been accepted are typically published within 6 to 12 months.
