Fitness Center Coordinator

Goodwin House Alexandria is currently seeking a full–time Fitness Center Coordinator. This position is primarily responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive wellness / physical fitness program including overseeing the fitness center, performing physical assessments, monitoring individual exercise programs, and conducting a variety of physical/relaxation programming.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

Bachelorâ s degree in related discipline preferred (exercise science) or equivalent with additional training in senior exercise programs or equivalent credentials such as ACSM, ACE and/or a certified weight/strength training experience with senior adults. Minimum of two years experience in senior physical fitness, therapy, anatomy, or related field desired.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Must have computer skills in basic word processing.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others.
CPR certified.
