Asian Conference on Computer Science in Sports (ACCSS)

We invite you to submit an abstract and to participate in the "Asian Conference on Computer Science in Sports (ACCSS)", an international conference that will be held at JISS (Japan Institute of Sports Science, Tokyo, Japan), from 24th to 26th of September, 2010. It is organized by a local Organizing Committee in cooperation with IACSS, the International Association on Computer Science in Sport.

This conference will bring together sports scientists, engineers, and coaches who are interested in:
• The use of computer science (hardware and software) in sport
• Teaching of sport with computer science
• The application of these to improve coaching and individual performance.
Abstracts should contain: title, names of authors, organization(s), and abstract text (up to 300 words) and should be sent to Chikara.MIYAJI@jiss.naash.go.jp till26th of March 2010.

8th International Symposium Computer Science in Sport

During the 7th International Symposium in Canberra it was officially announced that the International Association on Computer Science in Sport and Profs.
Lijuan Yu and Hui Zhang will organize the 8th International Symposium on Computer Science in Sport at the Shanghai University of Sport in China in 2011.
More details will be announced as soon as available.

IACSS - Membership
Herewith, we would like to remind all current subscribers to pay their membership fees for the year 2010, if not done already.

The membership is open to individuals, groups, and national and international organizations interested in computer science in sport. Membership in the Association consists of the following classes: member, fellow, student member, special member and affiliate member. Membership generally requires the submission of an application accompanied by the appropriate fee as prescribed at the time of the application.
Fees:
Professional Membership: 40 Euro per year.
Student Membership: 20 Euro per year.
Special Membership: 20 Euro per year.
Organization: In agreement with the Board (of Directors).
This includes the annual subscription to the E-Journal ’International Journal of Computer Science in Sport ’(IJCSS).
The membership year is the calendar year. The Membership Application Form can be found on www.iacss.org under IACSS-Registration.
