Motricidade 2 (2): 80-90 Resumo O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a existência de assimetrias na corrida de aproximação e na velocidade da bola entre o chute com o membro dominante e com o membro não dominante relacionando com a precisão. Seis jogadores de futsal realizaram quatro chutes com cada membro, com o dorso do pé, com a bola parada a 10 m do gol, aplicando máxima velocidade à bola e procurando acertar um alvo. A última passada antes do contato com a bola, penúltimo contato do membro de suporte no solo e alguns quadros após o contato do pé com a bola foram fi lmados por quatro câmeras digitais. As variáveis largura e amplitude do penúltimo e último passo, posição do pé de suporte em relação à bola, velocidade da corrida de aproximação, velocidade da bola e precisão nos chutes foram analisadas. Os resultados apresentaram diferenças na corrida de aproximação entre os membros, sendo encontradas assimetrias em todas as variáveis analisadas com exceção da velocidade da corrida de aproximação e da amplitude do último passo. O treinamento e a prática com o membro dominante podem ser os fatores responsáveis pela assimetria entre os chutes. Palavras-chaves: assimetria; corrida de aproximação; precisão; lateralidade. Data de submissão: 07-11-2006 Data de aceitação: 12-03-2006 Abstract Aspects of the approach race enter the kick carried through with the dominant and not dominant member The aim of this study was to analyse the presence of asymmetries in the approach running and ball velocity between the kick performed with the dominant and non dominant limbs related to the accuracy. Six futsal (fi ve-a-side indoor soccer) players performed four instep kicks with each limb, with the rest ball at 10 m from the goalpost applying maximum velocity on the ball and trying to reach a target. The entire last step before to contact the ball, next to the last contact of the stance limb with the ground, and some frames after the foot contact with the ball were recorded by four digital camcorders. The variables width and length next to the last and the last step, stance foot position related to the ball, approach running velocity, ball velocity, and kick accuracy were analysed. The results showed differences in the approach running between the limbs. Asymmetries were observed in all dependent variables but approach running velocity and length of the last step. The training and the practice with the dominant limb can be responsible by the asymmetry between the kicks. Key words: asymmetry; approach running; accuracy; laterality.
