AIESEP (Association Internationale des Ecoles Supérieures d'Education Physique - International Association for Physical Education in Higher Education) is a multilingual and multicultural association of universities, colleges, institutes of physical education (PE) and sport, and individuals who support and contribute to the advancement of sport pedagogy research and scholarship. News since 2014 / 14 / 04:

* The 2014 AIESEP Specialist Seminar that will be organized in Timisoara (ROM) on November 7-9, 2014. The theme of this specialist seminar is ‘The Pedagogical Side of Outdoor and Leisure Activities’.  All information is available on http://www.sport.uvt.ro/aiesep/index.html.   West University of Timisoara celebrates its’ 70th anniversary in 2014. You are welcome in Timisoara a cosmopolitan city, was called, the flowers' town or parks' town and is known for its hospitality. Seminar participants and those accompanying them will be warmly welcomed by the West University of Timisoara, the City and the Timis County and will have the opportunity to discover the richness of this historical and cultural city situated at the south east of Europe.  We look forward to seeing you soon in Timisoara.

* The 2015 AIESEP International Conference will be held in Madrid, ESP, July 8-11, 2015. The theme for the Conference is “Moving Up Physical Education and Sports participation on the Public Health Agenda; … it is not too late to Act” The program is under construction. Abstract submission opens September 1, 2014 and notification of acceptance is scheduled for February 15, 2015.  The host will be the Universidad Europea de Madrid: http://actividadfisicaydeporte.universidadeuropea.es/en
 
Conferences & General Information

* The 6th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport takes place on June 12 – 15, 2014, in Helsinki, FIN under the overall theme "Lead the Change – Be the Change". More than 500 participants have registered from all over the world: athletes, coaches, scholars, teacher, students, sports leaders and grassroots activists. Looking through the lenses of theory, policy, and practice we will challenge the status quo, fostering discussion and debate, enhancing our own toolboxes, becoming better networked, and inspiring change. The conference topics concern health enhancing physical activity, sport policy, participation in sport, coaching and leadership, and sport for peace and development. * The Handball Federation of Slovenia announces the 1st Slovenian Youth Open Handball Tournament. The event is teams comprised of players born 1996-2002. The tournament will take place in Celje (Slovenia), August 21-24, 2014. For more information please contact mohoric@rokometna-zveza.si or visit www.rokometna-zveza.si

* The "Sports, Physical Activity and Health 2014" scientific conference will be held in Bratislava, SLO from 11th to 13th of September 2014. You can find more information at www.spah2014.eu
