* The website for the 2014 AIESEP Specialist Seminar that will be organized in Timisoara (ROM) on November 7-9, 2014 is now operational. The theme of this specialist seminar is ‘The Pedagogical Side of Outdoor and Leisure Activities’. All information is available on http://www.sport.uvt.ro/aiesep/index.html. West University of Timisoara celebrates its’ 70th anniversary in 2014. You are welcome in Timisoara a cosmopolitan city, was called, the flowers' town or parks' town and is known for its hospitality. Seminar participants and those accompanying them will be warmly welcomed by the West University of Timisoara, the City and the Timis County and will have the opportunity to discover the richness of this historical and cultural city situated at the south east of Europe. * The School of Sports Science at the European University of Madrid is very excited to be hosting the 2015 AIESEP International Conference with the theme Moving up Physical Education and Sports Participation on the Public Health Agenda--It Is Not Too Late to Act! Provisional Keynote Speakers: Professor Steven N. Blair (University of South Carolina, USA) and Rafael Martín-Acero (University of A Coruña, ESP). Conference Sub-themes: (a) Integrating physical education, sports and active leisure on the public health agenda. * The UNESCO Chair "Transforming the Lives of People with Disabilities, their Families and Communities, Through Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness" in IT Tralee, Ireland is looking for a Chairholder. The post will be offered on a part time adjunct basis with the salary equating to 1.5 days per week or 17 weeks per year with an annual gross salary of €30,000 excluding travel expenses. The amount of time the Chairholder will spend in Tralee will be agreed with the Institute. Travel budgets will be agreed with the Head of Development on an annual basis in line with the Institute’s travel and subsistence policy. It does not require the person be based in Ireland. The title of the symposium is “Move and Improve?” – Physical Activity and Academic Performance. The event brings together experts from science, education, business and politics to share findings and develop an agenda for initiating research activities and implementation schemes aimed at enhancing the value of physical activity in educational and academic contexts.
